Echo Ridge Projects

The Erickson home is a walk-out 1670 sq ft bungalow with a further 1570 sq ft of developed walk-out basement.  It has a master suite and office on the main floor and two large bedrooms on the lower level.  The main floor also incorporates a large country kitchen and nook that flow into the living room area.
The emphasis of this home is light. From the foyer at the front, to the rear which leads onto a massive full width balcony, windows flood this vaulted space with light.  To counter the loss of heat through windows, Low E argon gas-filled windows and doors were used. 

The walk-out basement is also flooded with light from the windows and patio doors.  Even the side windows are large and ventilating.  To further make this space comfortable, under floor heat maintains a constant temperature.  In keeping with the times, energy efficient heat and hot water as well as low demand water closets make this home fully modern.  One more unique feature of this home is the insulated and temperature-controlled cold room for storage.

The master suite incorporates the bedroom area with a spacious bath and dressing room.  The bath is sunken in tile and jetted while a separate full body spray shower adds a touch of luxury.  Past the bath area is a large walk-in closet.  All this space is open and connected with the exception of the lavatory which has a door.
The kitchen cabinets are maple raised panel with granite tops. The work area is complimented by a large granite topped island and attached lowered desk. To take advantage of the height of nine foot walls and a vault the upper cabinets are high. The main floor area is all maple hardwood and ceramic tile.  The lower level is a combination of ceramic tile and carpet. 
The levels are connected by an open stairwell ringed with maple railings with pewter spindles to give a stunning feature right in the center of the house. When you first walk in this house you are welcomed by a spacious foyer that leads the eye right out the view to the back of the house.  The open design maximizes usable space and minimizes hallways.

This plan was developed for the Ericksons by consultation with our design team. 

This home was designed to warm the heart.  The warmth of the tile work and maple flooring, to the earth tones on the walls make this house welcoming.

The front of the house enters onto a large foyer with intricate tile work, leading into the kitchen and nook area and on to the large vaulted living room. 

Windows above the feature rock and tile gas fireplace bring in light.  The balcony is accessed through a feature door at the rear. 

To take advantage of the wall height, the kitchen cabinets have lighted glass door cabinets above the upper cabinets.  The lower cabinets as well as vanities are complimented by warm toned granite tops. 

The master suite has a separate walk-in closet, and the ensuite is truly impressive.  The separate tub and shower enclosures are complimented by patterned tile walls and floors.  Twin under counter sinks in a granite top make the dressing area complete. 

The stairwell in the center of the house leads down to a fully developed lower walk-out level.  The family room area incorporates a built-in entertainment center, as well as a wet-bar with an under-counter fridge.  This house is meant to contain a family in comfort and style and have room to entertain with ease.

Off the front balcony is the large foyer with a large front closet.  Also off the foyer is a swing room that can be used either as a home office or a second main floor bedroom. 

The main floor is 1700 sq ft, and the walk-out level is fully developed with a further 1600 sq ft of living area.  Under floor heat, on demand hot water and energy efficient heating compliment the comfort of this home.
